Red Shed Studio

Privacy policy

What data our games and this website use, why we use them, and what you can do about it. Last updated: 21 October 2026.

Who we are

Red Shed Studio (“we”, “us”) makes mobile games. Red Shed Studio is the name under which Nazmi İlkan Kibar, an independent developer based in Türkiye, publishes games. Nazmi İlkan Kibar is responsible for the data described here (the data controller). This policy covers our games Poppix Match and Shipforge: Idle RPG on Android and iOS, and this website. For any privacy question, write to info@redshedstudio.com.

Our two games handle data differently. Poppix Match does not use servers of ours and does not ask for your name, email address or account: most of what it remembers stays on your device. Shipforge has online features (cloud save, chat, fleets and leagues), so it creates a game account for you and keeps your game data on servers we run on Google Cloud. Neither game asks for your real name or email address. Some data also goes to the Google and Apple services listed below, which we use for ads, purchases, analytics, crash reports and sign-in.

Poppix Match: data that stays on your device

In Poppix Match, your progress, coins, settings, profile name and avatar, album and purchase receipts are saved only on your device. We never receive them. Deleting the game deletes this data.

If you share a picture from the album, the game creates the image on your device and opens your phone’s share menu. Where it goes is your choice; we do not receive it.

Reminders (for example “Your lives are full!”) are scheduled by your device itself; we have no server sending notifications. You can turn notifications off in your phone’s settings at any time.

Shipforge: your account and online features

Your game account and cloud save

When you first open Shipforge, a game account with a random identifier is created for you automatically (through Firebase Authentication); you do not enter a name, email address or password. On Android the game also signs you in to Google Play Games, if you use it, and links your Google Play Games player identifier to this account so your progress can follow you to a new device. Your progress, in-game currencies, ship, admirals, sea creatures, settings, purchase records and the list of players you have blocked are saved on your device and in our cloud save (Cloud Firestore and Cloud Functions on Google Cloud servers in Europe). When the game saves, our server checks the save for impossible changes, for example currency that was never earned or bought, to keep the game fair.

What other players can see

The game gives you a random player name, which you can change in your profile, and one of the game’s admiral portraits as your picture, which you can choose. Other players can see your player name, picture, power and, in leagues, a copy of your ship and crew that they battle against, your stars and your rank. If you join a fleet (Navy), its members can see your name, role, power and contribution, and other players can see the fleet’s name, tag, emblem and announcement.

Chat, reports and blocking

Messages you send in the world chat or in your fleet’s chat are stored with your player name, fleet tag, picture and the time, and are shown to other players in that channel. Swear words are hidden automatically. If someone reports a message, we keep a copy of the message, the reason and the reporting account so a moderator can review it. Moderators can delete messages and temporarily mute players who break the chat rules. You can block a player so you no longer see their messages; your block list is kept in your save.

Purchases

When you buy something in Shipforge, the purchase receipt (order identifier, product and purchase token) is sent to our server, which checks it with Google Play and records it against your account so the item is delivered once and only once. We never see your payment details.

Deleting your account

You can ask us to delete your Shipforge account and all data linked to it from inside the game (Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account?) or by writing to info@redshedstudio.com with your player name. We delete the account, cloud save, fleet membership and join requests, league entries from every season, chat messages, reports and the analytics data linked to the account within 30 days. Copies of your ship in other players’ fleet missions are removed automatically within 8 days. Purchase records are kept without your account identifier (only the order and the product remain), so the same purchase can’t be claimed twice and to meet our accounting obligations. Deleting an account cannot be undone, and items you bought are lost with it.

Data handled by third-party services

Advertising: Google AdMob

Both games are free, and ads help us pay for them. Google AdMob may collect your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, device and app information and how you interact with ads. Where the law requires consent (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland) we ask with Google’s consent form before ads are personalised. On iOS we ask for permission before using the advertising identifier for tracking. Ads you watch for rewards are always optional; Shipforge shows no other kind of ad.

Analytics, crash reports and settings: Google Firebase

In Poppix Match we use Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is played (for example which levels are started, won or lost and which features are used), Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports (device model, operating system, app version and technical details of the crash) and Firebase Remote Config to tune game settings such as level difficulty. These use a random app instance identifier, not your name. Analytics storage follows the same consent choice as ads.

In Shipforge we use Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is played in detail: for example which stages you play and win, what you build, equip and sell, which screens you open and for how long, how your resources change, and your purchases and rewarded ads. These events are linked to your random game account identifier, never to your name, and are copied to Google BigQuery (in the EU) so we can study them. Analytics follows the same consent choice as ads. Firebase Crashlytics receives crash reports (device model, operating system, app version and technical details of the crash); if you allowed analytics, the report also includes your account identifier and your last game events to help us find the cause.

Purchases: Google Play and the App Store

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Google Play or Apple. We never see your payment details. The game receives an order identifier and the product you bought so it can deliver your items.

Leaderboards and sign-in: Google Play Games and Apple Game Center

In Poppix Match, if you are signed in to Google Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iOS), your best level is sent to that service together with your player profile so it can appear on the leaderboard. In Shipforge, Google Play Games is used only to sign you in and keep your progress across devices. Signing in is optional; both games work without it.

These companies process data under their own privacy policies: Google Privacy Policy, how Google uses data from apps that use its services, Firebase privacy and Apple Privacy Policy. They may process data outside your country, including in the United States.

Why we use this data

  • To run the games, keep your Shipforge progress safe, run chat, fleets and leagues, and deliver purchases (performance of our agreement with you).
  • To fix crashes, check saves for cheating and moderate chat (our legitimate interest in a stable, fair and safe game).
  • To understand how the games are played and improve them (your consent where required, otherwise our legitimate interest).
  • To show ads, and personalised ads where you agree (your consent where required, otherwise our legitimate interest in keeping the games free).

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it to make decisions that have legal effects on you.

How long data is kept

Data on your device is kept until you delete the game. For Shipforge:

  • Your account, cloud save and purchase records are kept until you ask us to delete your account; after that, purchase records are kept without your account identifier.
  • Chat messages are deleted automatically 30 days after they are sent.
  • Fleet missions and their results (with copies of the ships that took part) are deleted automatically 8 days after the mission ends.
  • Reports are deleted once a moderator has reviewed them; a mute ends when its time runs out.
  • Analytics data is kept for up to 2 years and then deleted.

Other data held by Google and Apple is kept according to their retention policies and our settings in those services.

Your choices and rights

  • Change your ad and analytics consent at any time in the game: Privacy choices in the settings (Poppix Match) or in Profile → Settings → Privacy (Shipforge), shown where consent applies.
  • Delete your Shipforge account: Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account?, or write to us.
  • Block players in Shipforge’s chat, and report messages that break the rules.
  • Reset or limit your advertising identifier in your phone’s settings.
  • Turn off notifications in your phone’s settings.
  • Delete the game to remove everything stored on your device.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or Turkey’s KVKK) you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. Write to info@redshedstudio.com and we will help, including with requests to Google or Apple. For Poppix Match we do not know who you are, so we usually cannot link data to you ourselves; for Shipforge, tell us your player name so we can find your account. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Our games are made for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through our games, contact us at info@redshedstudio.com and we will delete it.

Shipforge asks for your year of birth when it first opens; the year stays on your device, and only an age group is sent to us and to analytics. For players under 16, chat is turned off and the ad network is told you are under the age of consent; for players under 13, ads are suitable for children and not personalised, and analytics is turned off.

This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or trackers. Fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we will also mention them in the update notes on Google Play and the App Store.
