In Shipforge you forge a ship one part at a time. Strike the anvil and a new part comes off it: hull, sails, plating, helm, main battery, secondary weapon, figurehead or pennant. Equip it if it’s stronger and your ship changes right there in the battle above, where it fights pirates and rival navies on its own, even while you’re away. Upgrading the shipyard brings in newer ages, from log rafts and triremes to galleons, dreadnoughts and interstellar flagships, across ten chapters and 190 stages. Three admirals stand on deck and give orders in battle, sea creatures swim beside the ship, and a tech tree, four voyages, a PvP league and navies with chat keep the long game going. There are no banner or pop-up ads, and the odds of every random reward are shown in the game.

In Poppix Match you don’t clear a board, you build a picture. Match three treats on a shelf and a jelly buddy pops out, laps the board and fires cubes at the canvas, filling in the pixel art from the middle out. Each buddy only shoots cubes of its own color. Buddies that finish a lap with cubes left over park in a handful of waiting slots, and if those slots fill up, the level is lost. There’s no timer. On top of the main levels there’s a new picture every day, a monthly poster to unlock, an album to fill and eight obstacles that keep later levels interesting.
